6 Must Watch TED Talks for Women

I love TED Talks and I have been watching them for years. They are inspirational, educational, fun, heart-warming, heart-breaking, motivational, I could go on and on! Being in business is hard, being a woman in business can be even harder. There are so many empowering women who have paved the way for the rest of us. Women who are out there fighting the good fight and making a difference. Below are 6 of my favourite TED Talks by women. In business and in life these women are influencers. Watch them for motivation, inspiration, and just because. I really hope you enjoy them and get as much out of them as I do.tedX

“And I’d like to end with a quote by Michael Margolis. He said, “If you want to learn about a culture, listen to the stories. And if you want to change a culture, change the stories.” “

Ashley Judd

“Girls’ and women’s voices, and our allies’ voices are constrained in ways that are personally, economically, professionally and politically damaging. And when we curb abuse, we will expand freedom.”

“There is this word that everybody is touting as the key to success: resilience.”

Gayle Tzemach Lemmon

“We can make a difference, and make a difference, not just for women, but for a global economy that desperately needs their contributions. Together we can make certain that the so-called exceptions begin to rule. When we change the way we see ourselves, others will follow.”

Nancy Frates

“And my family’s favourite video? Bill Gates. Because the night Pete was diagnosed, he told us that he was going to get ALS in front of philanthropists like Bill Gates, and he did it. Goal number one, check. Now on to the treatment and cure.”

Inspiring Greatness: Women who are changing the world.

Women who are changing the world
There is no better way to start my Inspiring Greatness: Women who are changing the world series, then with the new trailer for Firsts, TIME’s new video series on 46 groundbreaking women.

For the past year I have been planning and preparing for the launch of The Virtual Studio, and the Path to Success programs, and to be honest, a good number of the women in this series have been true inspirations for me on my this journey.

I don’t think women need to do anything other than what they are doing right now, and that’s moving forward.

Aretha Franklin

The launching of this project could not have come at a more perfect time in my life. I do hope that these women, and many many more, can inspire and motivate you on your journey.

Take a moment and be inspired, by something as simple as the trailer for the project! I hope to post more on this project as I continue to watch the videos.

Head to the Time Magainze website to learn more about the project!
