Whitelisting Joelene Mills Co.

Just a heads up….

Most email service providers and Internet companies are now using programs to block unwanted e-mail, aka spam. Sometimes, however, these programs block e-mail you actually want.

To Make Sure You Are Receiving Your Membership Emails Do This:
Add joelenemills.com email addresses to your email whitelist to make sure you get our emails.

What is a white list, you ask? A whitelist is how you advise your inbox what is acceptable and what is not.  You can “whitelist” a list of e-mail addresses or domain names from which an e-mail blocking program will allow messages to be received.

Why is this important?

Due to relentless spam and phishing scams, most Internet Service Providers have put one form of blocking or filtering system in place to protect its users, instead of only relying on blacklists to tell the good guys from the bad.  (I am sure you know the blacklist is who you mark as spam, to NOT make it to your inbox.)

Of course, Joelene Mills Co. supports your ISP’s intention to protect you from the bad guys – I just don’t want to be mistaken as one, no system is perfect, right? This is why I am suggesting you take action and preemptively whitelist emails from me.

Whitelist us right away before any Membership emails are blocked.

Now, I don’t have a clue what email system you are using, so I am hoping at least one of the walkthroughs below will help you out. If yours isn’t here, reach out to me and I will do what I can to help or, contact your internet service provider and they’ll send you clear instructions.

1. In your inbox, locate an email from joelene@joelenemills.com (your welcome mail for joining us is a good one).
2. Drag this email to the “primary” tab of your inbox.

When opening an email message, a “+” symbol should display next to From: and the sender’s name. Select this and an “Add to contacts” pop-up should appear. Select “Save”:

Make sure to also check your spam folder in case our emails are being delivered there and mark them as ”not spam”.

Select “Mail” and “Preferences” from the top menu.

In the “Preferences” window, click the “Rules” icon.
Click the “Add Rule” button.

In the “Rules” window, type a name for your rule in the “Description” field.
Use the following settings: “If any of the following conditions are met: From Contains.”
Type the sender’s email address in the text field beside “Contains.”

Select “Move Message” and “Inbox” from the drop-down menus. Click “Ok” to save the rule.
